Google Drive Updated With Spreadsheet Support

Google has just pushed an update to Google Drive for iOS that allows users to edit and create spreadsheets within the application. Users can also transfer spreadsheets to the Google Drive app using the “Open In…” button in Pages or other productivity apps. Both of these features have been requested by users time and time again, so it’s nice to see Google take user requests when it comes to updating its mobile apps. As of now, users cannot update presentations within the Google Drive iOS app.

This update brings Google Drive to version 1.2.0. We’ve embedded the full list of changes after the break.

If you didn’t already know, Google Drive is Google’s Dropbox-like cloud storage service. Drive gives all users 5GB of free cloud storage on signup, though you can opt to upgrade to 25GB or 100GB for $2.49 or $4.99 per month, respectively. Google Drive also allows you to create documents via Google Docs.
