EA’s Pogo goes live on the App Store. Yup, that Pogo

The site that pretty much single-handedly kept me sane during college has brought 5 of their games to the iPhone and iPod touch—Pogo Games is now free on the App Store.

Included in the Pogo Games release is Word Whomp, Mahjong Safari, Poppit, Sweet Tooth 2 and Turbo 21 S. Club Pogo members will get ad-free versions of the games.

This may really get some panties in a bunch, but these days the only games I really play any more are casual games. Anything that’s episodic or lets me get in and out while feeling like I’ve accomplished something ends up high on my favourites list. Pogo Games has a future on the App Store, and we’re pretty surprised that it’s taken this long to get some of their games on the iPhone.

Hopefully this is a sign of things to come. More Pogo Games is a good thing.
