Download And Play Ellen DeGeneres’ New App Heads Up!

One of the best parts of Ellen DeGeneres’ show is all the games that she plays with members of her audience, and one those games is a word-guessing game where a player holds cards on their forehead and the other provides clues for the person to guess what’s on the card. Now you can play this game at home with Ellen’s new app, Heads Up!

With Heads Up!, you hold your iPhone or iPad up to your forehead, instead of a stack of cards. Since you can’t drop a card to see the next one, once you guess what’s on the screen all you have to do is tilt the iPhone or iPad forward to move on to the next card. If you can’t guess the word, just tilt the device backwards to pass. You have 60 seconds to guess as many words as possible and at the end of the 60 seconds you’ll see a list of all the words you managed to guess.

Heads Up! also has a great video feature, so you’re being filmed while playing. You can share you’re funniest rounds with friends or choose “Send to Ellen” to share on her Heads Up! Facebook page.

There are over 18 themed decks to choose from, but the game does have in-app purchases so you’ll have to shell out another $0.99 for another deck.

Make sure to watch the video above from yesterday’s Ellen show where she played Heads Up! with actress Alison Sweeney. Then make sure to download Ellen’s game from the App Store for just $0.99.
