Apps of the Week: Spotify, Instagallery, and Screentaker

It’s Friday, and that means it’s time to take a look at some awesome apps for each platform: iPhone, iPad, and Mac OS. Today, we’re focusing on music, pictures, and iOS screenshots.

Ready? Let’s begin.

iPhone/iPod touch:

Spotify: The service needs no explanation. But just in case you’ve never heard of it, Spotify allows you to stream your favorite music over the web, thereby giving you access to millions of tracks, any time you like. Just search for it in Spotify, then play it. There are three plans: free, unlimited for $4.99/month, and premium for $9.99/month. This app allows you to have the same music experience on the go. However, it’s only available to premium users. So are you rocking a premium Spotify account? Then rock this too.

If you haven’t tried Premium before, you can try it on your mobile for 48-hours, completely free. You don’t even have to enter credit card details. Simply download this app and log in. If 48-hours isn’t enough, you can extend your trial by 30 days by following the details in the email you receive when you log in.

iPad:

Instagallery: Do you use Instagram? Do you have an iPad? Do you want to view Instagrams on your iPad? Simple – download this app. Instagallery is packed with a lot of features, yet it has such a simple interface and it’s easy to use. Just open it and log in. That’s it. Set the background color, view by feed, likes, tags, and more. It’s a great app for viewing great pics from the comfort of your tablet.

Mac:

Screentaker: How many times have you shared screenshots from your iOS devices? Wouldn’t you like spicing them up a bit? Try throwing the file in Screentaker and watch the magic. The app detects the resolution of your image and matches it with the correct iOS device frame. Choose from a black or white device, horizontal or vertical, reflections, or get even more effects. It just works. Did I mention that we use it in our AOW posts every Friday?
