If improved audio profiles for speakerphones are your thing, you should definitely be pumped for today’s new iOS update for the iPhone 5.
The minor 6.1.4 update, which is only available for users on iPhone 5, has just one improvement listed in its description. “Updated audio profile for speakerphone.” Whether the update includes other minor changes that Apple chose not to list is unknown.
What exactly “updated audio profile for speakerphone” means, I don’t know. One user online said that after installing the update, he noticed frequencies began to sound significantly lower pitched when using speakerphone on his iPhone 5.
Don’t worry, it won’t be much longer until we start to see some REAL updates for iOS.
