Alleged photos of iOS 5 notifications leak hours before WWDC

The closer we get to WWDC the more pranks we start to see around the blogs. That iCloud press-badge-login-page from the other day has already been debunked as a fake. Today, we awoke to find an interesting photo of a new iOS 5 notification system that is being passed around the Internet. Everyone is wondering if it’s the new iOS 5 notification system that we’ve been hearing about over the last couple of months. If so, it looks pretty intriguing.

As Stephen points out in our WWDC 2011 rumor roundup post:

Just two days ago, we reported that Peter Hajas, the developer behind MobileNotifer has been hired by a certain company in Cupertino.

iOS notification have been on the mind of a lot of people leading up to today’s event, so we won’t be surprised if they get a revamp. If this image is the new notification system, it looks like it may be a step in the right direction.

I guess we’ll know once Steve Jobs takes the stage in a couple of hours at WWDC.

What do you think, real or fake?
