8tracks Relaunches With New Design And Improved Music Discovery

8tracks has officially relaunched its iOS app with a completely new and redesigned interface. 8tracks 2.0 brings a bunch of new features to the popular music streaming service, including the ability to find and invite friends, get fullscreen artwork, and it also includes a great music discovery service.

For those that don’t know, 8tracks is a popular music streaming service that lets you listen to other people’s playlists, make your own, and discover new music in every genre. It has around 600,000 mixes that are uploaded by a small portion of the app’s users, called DJs. With a few exceptions that keep 8tracks legal, there is no limit to the songs that can be uploaded.

It’s a service similar to Pandora in that you can’t request individual songs, see what songs are in a playlist or skip ahead, put tracks on repeat or download and save tracks that you like.

So what’s new in 8tracks 2.0? Here’s a list:

  • Completely new design
  • No ads
  • Optimized for iPhone 5 and iOS 6
  • Combine mood and genre to discover playlists
  • Faster, better playback
  • Fullscreen artwork
  • Swipe browse through stations and mixes
  • Find or invite friends

The 8tracks app is free on iTunes, so follow the link below and start discovering new music today.
