Google now offering a free, multi-vendor catalog app to the masses

Worried about the Sears catalog disappearing in the future? Have no fear, Google has just announced an iPad application called Google Catalogs. It is a catalog featuring a group of popular brands all rolled into one shiny app. Users can peruse the contents of Macy’s, Pottery Barn, Urban Outfitters, and Sephoria, as well as others, all from within one application.

Think ultimate catalog, all from the luxury of one app.

The application lets you not only peruse the fine products, but also purchase them from their respective stores online, as well as create “collages” of multiple products so you can better coordinate your purchasing.

Sadly, the application is only available in the US App Store currently.
