CIA: Operation Ajax looks to redefine comics on the iPad

Comics on the iPad suck. Most take the old world format of static artwork and directly apply it to the digital format. Boringsville type stuff if you ask us. CIA: Operation Ajax looks to solve that with a new comic format on the iPad. Slight motion here and there and an interactive format, and comics are taken from yesteryear and brought directly into the digital format.

The comic on a whole focuses on the CIA’s role in the 1950’s Iranian Coup, and is based on Stephen Kinzer’s book All the Shah’s Men. The comic is currently free for two weeks, and if you’re at all interested in the future of Comicbooks then I suggest you head over the to the App Store and check it out.

I wish Marvel and the other major players would use this as an example of what they should be doing. It’s time for comics to evolve, and the iPad provides the perfect medium for that.
