Can’t Afford An iPad Mini? Get A GooPad Mini. Wait, What?

If you can’t see yourself dropping $329 on Apple’s latest tablet, we have good news for you: You can buy the GooPad Mini for $99. The Chinese website GizmoChina has reported that a Chinese manufacturer has already begun producing the knockoff and will be selling the device soon. We’re not sure if this tablet will ever make its way to the States, but it will definitely go on sale in China.

If you couldn’t already guess, this cheap iPad clone will run Android 4.1 with the ‘iLauncher’ skin. This skin will apparently make the GooPad look and feel like the real thing, though we’re doubtful of that. If you’d like to view the full spec sheet, we’ve embedded it below:

  • 1.4GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, and 8GB storage
  • 8 inch screen, 1024×768 pixel display
  • 2MP rear camera, 0.3MP front camera
  • Aluminium Build
  • Android 4.1 OS + iLaunch

If you want more information on the hilariously named GooPad Mini, GizmoChina has uploaded a video about the product to YouTube that should tell you everything you need to know about the tablet.

Well, that didn’t take long.
