There’s sorting through copious amounts of data, and then there’s Google, who has to search through 100,000,000 gigabytes of data before it can even begin to populate your search results. From hitting enter on your Google search, through to seeing your results, Google’s algorithm has to pass information nearly at the speed of light to get you results in a timely manner. The information travels around 1,500 miles on average just to fill your screen with relevant search information. Insanity.
