Play Guild Wars 2 On The Mac

Guildwars

Are you a Guild Wars 2 fan? Want to play it on your Mac? Well, now you can — sorta. If you’re already a paid Guild Wars 2 player, you can go to the Account Management section of the website, and download the beta Mac client. You need to be running Lion or Mountain Lion on fairly recent hardware, but it looks like most Macs made from mid-2010 onward should run the beta with no problem.

When all the beta testing is complete, the Mac version will be sold at retail, and that includes Windows support as well — no additional fee or subscription. For details, you can check out the Mac FAQ and visit the Mac section of the Guild Wars 2 forum. Keep in mind, this is a beta, so things probably won’t work perfectly. If you can’t wait to play with your Windows friends, at least you have an option now.
