Cthulhu Saves the World to drop on OS X and iOS

CthulhuOh, the terror! Indie PC and Xbox game Cthulhu Saves the Day, developed by Zeboyd Games, has officially been announced for OS X and iOS. Oh, I guess Android as well, but who cares?

Zeboyd Games:

[We are] pleased to announce a partnership with Tinkerhouse Games to bring Cthulhu Saves the World to a variety of new platforms in early 2012 including the iPhone, iPad, Android, and Mac. More details to follow in the coming weeks.

Zeboyd Games isn’t doing this alone, though. They’re getting help from Tinkerhouse Games, developers of the matching game Current, and they’re almost done according to this tweet by one of the devs (as pointed out by Joystiq).

Cthulu currently sells for $1.00 USD on Xbox Live and $2.99 for Windows. It’s pretty safe to assume we’ll see similar pricing for the OS X and iOS versions. If you’re interested in keeping up to date with information about this awesome indie title, keep checking the developer’s blog.

What other indie games would you like to see ported to iOS or the Mac? Let us know if there are any gems we haven’t seen yet on other platforms. After going so long without many good games on the Mac, it’s nice to see that iOS is driving some serious developer love in the direction of Apple. It’s about damn time!
