Drobo Goes Pro.

Everyone’s favourite backup robot just went Pro.

I wasn’t really sure how the Drobo could be any more “professional”, but they’ve managed to prove me wrong. You can now plug in up to 8 disks for a total ob 16 terabytes of data. Now, that’s a lot of music, movies, and video games. It also has a triple interface possibility which allows for Firewire 800, USB 2.0 and iSCSI. You can even mount this beast in a server rack.

We’d love to get our hands on one of these suckers to put through the paces. We can’t give any first hand knowledge on how “good” it is, but, if it’s anything like the original Drobo, then you’re in good hands if you pick this sucker up!
