WWDC Apple Event Scheduled For June 2, 2014

Looks like the big day is scheduled. Apple will have its annual WWDC event on June 2, 2014. We have no idea what to expect, or what may (or may not) be announced, but if history shows us anything new Macs, OS X previews, and software updates could be in store for users this year.

Back in 2013, Apple announced the new Mac Pro, Airport Time Capsule, Airport Extreme, and MacBook Air. The company also showed off OS X Mavericks, and a little bit from iOS 7.

Like we said, this event is typically Mac focused, but many believe we may see some new products this time around. It has been a while since I’ve paid attention to most of the rumors, so I couldn’t tell you exactly what’s rumoured to be in store for us at the event.

I like it that way. It means being able to sit back and enjoy the keynote.

This year a lottery system was implemented to award developers with tickets to WWDC. In the past, the conference sold out in minutes.  This time around, 200 free tickets were also reserved for students.

If you lost out on the lottery, don’t fear, Apple will continue to post keynotes, the design awards, and state of the union address through the developer portal over the course of the week.

The keynote will begin at 10am EST and run until 12pm EST. Mark your calendars, things are about to get interesting.
