Poll: Apple Looking To Get Too Fast, Too Furious With Carbon Fiber

We’re not entirely sure why at this point, but apparently Apple’s looking to get its carbon fiber on at some point in the future. According to reports from Japanese website Macotakara, Apple’s placed large orders for carbon fiber.

No, Apple’s not looking to get into manufacturing after-market car parts. Instead, as the rumor goes, the company could be looking to build next generation iPhones and iPads with the material.

Obviously carbon fiber could provide some benefits like a lighter weight and an increased durability to upcoming Apple products, but damn is it ugly.

What do you think? Is carbon fiber too damn ugly to adorn your new iPad or iPhone? We’d love to know what you think!
