Gameloft Bringing The Dark Knight Rises To iOS

An open-world Batman game is about to find its way to iOS courtesy of Gameloft this summer. Dark Knight Rises, which looks a lot like Arkham City, but less on rails, and way more open and free, is set to be released sometime between now, and hopefully the film’s release in July.

The trailer, which is more of a teaser than anything else that you would expect in a trailer, shows some pretty awesome gameplay footage, including some nifty beatdowns of thugs and douchebags around Gotham.

Rumor has it that the game will launch around the time that The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters on July 20th. Anything later than that would be a giant missed opportunity for Gameloft.

It sounds like Gameloft has the whole super hero gaming industry cornered this summer. The company is set to also release a Spiderman game to coincide with the release of that film this summer as well.

The Dark Knight Rises looks dark, ominous, and pretty badass. I can’t wait to get my hands on it. I love me a good Batman game.
