Apple updates Apple Store app in the iOS App Store

If you can read that headline ten times quickly, we’ll send you some candy.

Ok, not really. But last night, Apple’s own “Apple Store” iOS app got a major overhaul.

New features include the ability to custom-order any Mac, add free engraving and gift wrapping to iOS devices and the ability to reserve an iPhone and other products for pickup at an Apple retail store.

The most interesting update to me uses location services to allow users to request a salesperson, check in for a Genius Bar or One to One appointment or receive meet-up alerts.

The app update is in conjunction with other changes the company has implemented in its retail stores this weekend.

The new app is universal, running on the iPhone, iPod touch and the iPad. Get it via the link below.
