Second Apple Store to open in Charlotte, North Carolina

North Carolina is feeling the love from Apple these days, it seems. Apple is planning on opening another Apple Store in Charlotte, North Carolina. It will be Apple’s second location in the city, and its fifth Apple Store in the state.

The new store was revealed in job listings and newly issued building permits obtained by ifoAppleStore.com. Located inside the NorthLake Mall on Charlotte’s north side, the store will be on the second floor across from Pottery Barn and Banana Republic.

Of course, that doesn’t include Apple’s other major presence in the area, the 500,000 square-foot data center that Apple built roughly 35 miles away from Charlotte. With WWDC coming next week, and a look at the new iCloud services promised, we will finally be able to stop speculating on what the data center is really for.
