Apple has announced that it will begin making its sales specialists and Geniuses available through web chat or over the phone to answer any questions consumers may have on available products before making purchases on Apple’s online store. The project, currently only available in the UK, Brazil, Germany, and Spain (not the U.S.) went live this morning.

In addition to helping you make the proper purchasing decisions, the support team will also help you configure your iPhone, iCloud, email and other services on your newly acquired device across the Internet or over the phone.

If you’re the type to avoid the large crowds at the Apple Store, this new system may be the perfect solution for getting one-on-one help from the luxury of your own home. I may just order my next iPhone this way.
