Apple Launches An In-Store iPhone Trade-In Program

Apple has today launched an in-store iPhone trade-in event. The company started sending emails to iPhone 4S users today, notifying them that the program has started and that (cue the Apple commercial voice-over) it’s a “beautiful time for an upgrade.”

Both iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S users are eligible for this offer, with devices fetching up to $99 and $199 in Apple Store credit. Combined with a subsidized upgrade, this makes the iPhone 5C free for iPhone 4 users, and the 5S free for iPhone 4S users, if you don’t mind a contract. Not a shabby deal if you ask me.

Apple claims that all iPhones accumulated by this program are recycled. You can take advantage of the offer at your local Apple Store today.
