Apple To Celebrate Lunar New Year With Shopping Event

The Asian markets get all the Apple fun these days. Apple first celebrated the new year in Japan with Lucky Bags, and now in China the company will be celebrating the Lunar New Year with a “Red Friday” event in select Asian markets.

This Friday, January 10, 2014, Apple will be offering discounts on select products, although there’s no information on what will be on sale as of yet. It’s just a teaser page published on the Red Friday page over on Apple’s website.

In previous years Apple’s offered discounts between 8 and 10 percent off on iPad and iPod models, as well as up to $100.00 off on Mac models during the event. If we had to guess, we expect that discounts will be similarly applied this year as well.
