If you love cooking at home but need a bit of guidance to make anything that doesn’t come out of a box or can, Appetites might be just what you need. Appetites is an iPad app that boasts a library of easy-to-follow step-by-step narrated videos for each step of preparing a meal. As of now, Appetites has over 90 available lessons lead by 18 different chefs.
Not only will Appetites show you how to cook a great meal, but later this year, the app will allow you to have ingredients for its recipes delivered to your doorstep. When talking to Steven Sauder, a member of the Appetites team, he told me that the service will initially launch in San Francisco and Los Angeles, with more cities added soon after.
Appetites is free to download and includes one free eight-pack of recipes. Additional recipes cost anywhere from $0.99 to $7.99 depending on what recipes or pack of recipes you buy. Additionally, if you choose to purchase ingredients from Appetites later this year, those will cost money as well.
