If you’re a creative professional, chances are you use the Adobe Creative Suite or something similar on a day-to-day basis. However, using these applications with a keyboard and mouse can be painful when using multiple tools at once. It’s so painful, in fact, that Calvin Chu and co-founder Ashish Bidadi have created the Palette: a modular input set for all of your creative needs.
The Palette kit features hardware buttons, dials, and sliders that interface with creative applications on Mac, Linux, and Windows. These hardware controllers are crafted out of aluminum (though a wood option is available) and connect to each other using a proprietary connector that all ends at the Power Module. This module then connects to your computer by way of USB. You can arrange the modular controllers in any way you like, allowing you to create a setup that works for you.
On the software side of things, all of the controllers interface with the Palette app for Mac, Windows, and Linux. This application allows you to assign your Palette controllers functions. For example, you can tell the Palette app to set your slider to control zoom within Photoshop.
