Academy Award Winning ‘Hugo’ Free Today As Part Of Apple’s ’12 Days Of Gifts’

The fifth day of Apple’s “12 Day of Gifts” is arguably the promotion’s best giveaway yet.

Today iTunes users can download Martin Scorsese’s critically acclaimed film Hugo, to own in HD, entirely for free. Typically on Apple’s store for $19.99, this certainly marks the most valuable download Apple has yet to give out.

Hugo was originally released in 2011 and was met with critical acclaim, earning five academy awards and a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 94%. If you’re going to miss any of Apple’s giveaway items, try to make sure it’s not this one.

This isn’t the first time Apple’s associated itself with Scorsese. He was also the star of a Siri commercial back in July of 2012.

While you can download Hugo through the 12 Days of Gifts app, you can also simply grab it for free on iTunes.
