If you’re looking for people to follow on Twitter, you now have an exciting new option. Apple’s CEO Tim Cook has finally decided to join the social networking service, having today sent out his first ever tweet.

“Visited Retail Stores in Palo Alto today. Seeing so many happy customers reminds us of why we do what we do,” it read, as Tim Cook spent time stopping by some Apple Store locations to celebrate the today’s launch of the iPhone 5S and 5C.

While Cook only sent out his first tweet today, his account has reportedly been active since July. His account bio reads “CEO Apple, Fan of Auburn football and Duke basketball.” The account’s authenticity was confirmed when Apple exec Phil Schiller retweeted Cook’s message.

Hopefully Cook’s just been spending all this time coming up with a bunch of fantastic tweets he’s ready to bestow on us.
