Google Maps Finally Released For iPad

Google has updated Google Maps for iOS, which means it’s now, finally, available for the iPad. Now you can explore the world with your favorite maps app on the bigger screen and enjoy all the world has to offer from the comfort of your couch.

The update brings Google Maps to version 2.0 and gives the app a brand new user interface designed for the iPad. You’ll also see enhanced navigation like traffic updates and incident reports, as well as support for the Explore feature that Google first introduced at the Google I/O conference earlier this year. Like its name, the Explore feature lets you explore, discover and find popular nearby places to eat, drink, shop, play and sleep.

The app also includes the 5-star ratings and reviews from friends, as well as expert reviews from Zagat, which makes choosing the best spots easier.

You’ll also see great deals from brands you like with Google Offers and Google Maps also includes indoor maps with walking directions for malls, transit stations, airports and more.

All in all, this is a pretty great update for Google Maps. Head over to the App Store now to get it.
