If you were on the fence of whether or not to buy Google Glass, perhaps this new announcement will help with your decision. Porn is coming to Glass, officially.
Adult Android app creator MiKandi(link NSFW) has announced that it will be making exclusive apps just for Google Glass, with the first of which expected to launch as early as this week. MiKandi’s co-founder Jennifer McEwen spoke to ZD Net about the decision to bring porn to Google’s new eyewear.
Obviously, Glass is perfect for shooting POV video, so we’re experimenting with that first. But what’s really interesting about Glass is that it’s not just a hands free camera. It can receive and send data, so there are a lot of interesting interactions that we want to explore.
So not only will porn become disturbingly more viewable in public thanks to Glass, but it will also make it easier for porn studios to record their footage. “Because it feels so natural, you can forget about the technology and just be in the moment,” said McEwen.
After playing around with Glass, MiKandi states that how it will be used for adult content is different than what most people are expecting.
Watching porn or movies in general on Google Glasses is not quite there yet (and believe me, that’s the first thing we tried), but we love the idea of a very natural, wearable smart device that can create intimate, two-way adult experiences remotely.
The app will surely give a whole new meaning to the term “Google Glass Explorers”.
