The popular app for iOS, Camera+, has received a huge update with a number of powerful new features. The update brings front flash support, new levelling features, live exposure, bug fixes, and plenty of other improvements.
The update, which Tap Tap Tap has codenamed Operation ÜberCam, is focused “on making the best shooting experience even better!”
Tap Tap Tap has managed to do the impossible by adding a flash to the front-facing camera so you can snap pictures of yourself in complete darkness. In the funny iTunes release notes, Tap Tap Tap adds that “we predict that the number of duckface photos taken around the world will increase by an order of magnitude as a result. We apologize in advance.”
With Camera+’s new Horizon Level, it’s much easier to get straight pictures. A bar appears between the photo guides to show you how to level a photo. Live Exposure is for all those professional iPhoneographers. This new feature lets you get all the details of your photo before you take the shot — you can now see how exposure parameters like ISO and shutter speed change in real-time as you’re setting up so you can get the best shot possible.
Another new feature is accurate iPhone 5 framing. Tap Tap Tap said that “anything that didn’t feel 100% perfect was given a good overhaul. The end result is well over a dozen improvements that add-up to the best shooting experience.” Camera+ received some other minor improvements and a bunch of bug fixes too.
