UK Clears HTC Of Infringing Apple Patents

Today a UK judge by the name of Christopher Floyd ruled that HTC’s phones do not infringe on Apple’s patents. Bloomberg reports that these patents include “slide to unlock” and other broad touchscreen patents. Of course, Apple wasn’t exactly happy about this ruling and they released this statement to Bloomberg:

Competition is healthy, but competitors should create their own original technology, not steal ours.

HTC fired back at Apple’s statement and has released this statement:

we remain disappointed that Apple continues to favor competition in the courtroom over competition in the marketplace.

So, do you think that this is just a bump in the road for Apple’s raging war against Android or will it make Apple settle down? Drop us a comment with your opinion.
