Plants Vs Zombies Adds Yet More iOS Features And Stuff

I make no attempts to conceal the fact that Popcap’s Plants Vs Zombies is my favorite iOS game, and I’m more delighted than a bird with a french fry to inform you that yet more game modes have been added to the iOS versions. More new content has been added to the iPad version of the game because a lot of the content already exists on the iPhone (all iPad users… one, two, three: now pout!). First up for both devices is the maddening-but-cool “Vasebreaker” minigame in which you bust open waves and zombies pop out and make your life hell (this is a longer, more in-depth version of the three-level-long mini-game that Crazy Dave walks you through during the campaign). You can cruise through nine levels of Vasebreaker, but you have to unlock them with in-game coins (which are earned either through playing or by buying them). The iPad also gets I Zombie, Slot Machine, Zombiquarium, Portal Combat, and Beghouled Twist, all of which already existed on the iPhone.

You’ll also find new achievements (28 for the iPad and four for the iPhone) to reward you for your hard, zombie-stomping work.

Last, but not least, you’ll also get the much-loved Zen Garden feature on the iPad, which allows you to leisurely (and sometimes not-so-leisurely) grow yourself a cute little garden that can sprout some in-game bonuses for you.

You can grab the latest update on the iTunes App Store for free and start plantin’.
