Apple could release the Air-inspired MacBook Pro in March

That Air-inspired 15-inch MacBook Pro is back in the news again today, and this time it’s suggested that parts for the device will begin shipping from factories some time in November. If reports are true, which we’re uncertain of currently, the 15-inch ultra-thin MacBook Pro could hit the market sometime in March.

Aaron Lee over at Digitimes:

Estimated by the product planning, mass shipments of the notebook device will start in March and could be cataloged in either the MacBook Air or MacBook Pro line. Apple currently has three screen sizes for the MacBook Pro – 13.3-inch, 15.6-inch and 17-inch.

We’ve said this a number of times when talking about the idea of a Air-inspired MacBook Pro, but it’s worth repeating again. Apple executives have gone on the record a number of times mentioning that the MacBook Air would be the future of all mobile computers. They could have been speculating, or they could have been dropping the hint that the entire MacBook lineup could eventually look just like the current MacBook Air, but with varying degrees of power under the hood.

Rumor Du Jour, so take it for what it’s worth.
