First-generation nano gets a global replacement program

If you have a first generations iPod nano, and you still find yourself using it (WHY?), Apple’s agreed to begin replacing the devices, so long as they were made between September 2005 and December of 2006.

Stop using your iPod nano, put it down, and back away slowly. Once you’re clear of the threat, head on over to the Apple website to register for a replacement.

There’s no word on what they’re going to be replacing your nano with, considering this replacement program is for nanos that are over 5 years old at this point. We doubt that Apple has a huge stockpile of 5 year old nanos to replace these bunk devices with, but who knows.
