Audyssey releases AirPlay compatible audio dock

Audyssey has released the Lower East Side audio dock today. The dock comes complete with native AirPlay Wireless streaming. The dock will sell for $399, and be available in November just in time for the holidays.

I currently own the South of Market Audio Dock from Audyssey and absolutely love it. It’s one of the better sounding docks I’ve had the pleasure of owning. However, instead of having AirPlay functionality, the only wireless streaming the South of Market dock is capable of is over Bluetooth, which leaves something to be desired in my opinion. To solve the problem, I attached the dock to my TV and my TV to an Apple TV. Thankfully the Lower East Side audio dock removes that problem entirely. Users will no longer have to tether their docks to an Apple TV just to take full advantage of streaming music from their iPhone or iPad. The Lower East Side audio dock has AirPlay built right in to the device.

If you’re in the market for an iPod/audio dock with good sound range, I recommend checking out Audyssey’s offerings. I’m pretty happy with mine.
