Rumor: iPhone 5 images leaked from factory, show possible elongated home button

There is a new image floating around that shows factory workers inspecting what appear to be trays full of the elusive iPhone 5.  The photo is said to have been snapped at a Wintek manufacturing plant.

It is really hard to tell from the pictures, but if we are to believe 9to5Mac, they depict a redesigned elongated home button that may or may not be gesture based. How they came to this conclusion from a blurry photo is puzzling.

Numerous reports of a slimmer iPhone 5 with elongated home button have been swirling around but nothing concrete has hit the rumor mill. If this is in fact a picture from inside Wintek, the rumors could be all but confirmed.

To me, a gesture based home button seems a bit lackluster, as I can’t think of anything I’d want it to do besides slide to unlock. I’d be interested to hear what you guys think would make it worth the effort to incorporate said gesture based clicking apparatus.

The images don’t tell a clear picture of what’s happening personally, and I honestly can’t even tell if there is a sticker over the home button or if it’s a hole straight through. People are convinced though, and I guess we’ll just have to continue to wait and see!
