Duke Nukem Forever is now pre-orderable on the Mac

Gamers rejoice. You can finally pre-order Duke Nukem Forever. Yes, that wonderful pile of steaming mediocrity that took an astonishing fifteen years of development has finally made it over to OS X. Never mind the fact its Windows and console release drew abysmal critical reception and cries for blood from loyal fans — it’s ready to taint your clean machines.

Originally developed by Gearbox, the Mac port’s being handled by Aspyr Media. It’s expected to drop sometime in August, delays willing (this is Duke Nukem Forever after all…) and will cost you $45 — a measly saving of $5 off the full release price.

If you really wish to play the dethroned king of first person shooting, you’ll need a Mac with the following:

  • Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz Processor
  • Mac OS X 10.6.7 or later
  • 2GB of Ram

Hail to the Apple Baby.
