Apple to release support app for iPhone/iPad?

Boygenius is reporting that Apple may be releasing an iPhone and iPad app that will essentially be a mobile version of Apple.com. It is supposedly free, and it will also allow users to book Genius bar appointments, check stock availabilities at your local Apple store, and book one-to-one training sessions.

It’s kind of funny that Apple’s been encouraging developers to create exciting new applications for the iPad instead of porting old apps and websites, when they’re planning on practically re-skinning their website for a mobile device. We’re not sure if we’d use the application very often, because the only time I’m in an Apple store is when I get sucked into the light as I’m walking on by, kinda like a moth to the light.

So, keep your eyes open, the App should arrive in the App Store some time tomorrow (Tuesday, June 15)
