Make your text beautiful in Safari with Beautifier

Do yourself a favor, and install this Safari Extension right now. When I first saw this on the popular Safari Extensions weblog, I wasn’t expecting a whole lot. I was wrong. As soon as I installed it, I noticed a huge difference.

The creator of this extension explains that all Beautifier does is wrap each website with this line of code:

html { -webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; }

That tiny alteration makes the web look an order of magnitude better. Take into consideration that I’m not really a typography nerd. Most font-based news stories don’t excite me, but this very much does. This is worth the 10 seconds it takes to install this for free.

If you don’t know how to get Safari Extensions working, you can check out this post for a walkthrough on how to do it. Trust me, it’s easy.
