In a series of tweets, blogger Brian Tong claims that his sources told him that “all new” Mac minis and Mac Pros are coming in late July or early August. These new machines will feature Sandy Bridge processors and come with Thunderbolt ports, as well as Mac OS X Lion as their pre-installed OS. Early on Friday we got word that Apple is testing out A5-powered MacBook Airs, but those machines still seem to be a little ways off. Sandy Bridge based MacBook Airs have been rumored to be shipping sometime in June or July of this summer for a while now. Intel's Sandy Bridge CPU is all the rage these days. The chipset is rumoured to already be part of a new MacBook Pro that people are expecting to be released any day now. With stories floating around about delays with Intel's new Sandy Bridge processors, while rumors of new MacBook Pros are circling, it's a somewhat confusing time for would-be buyers. Intel today has announced that it is working with OEMs to ship the troubled parts since the issues only affect some of the SATA ports on the boards. According to CNET's Brooke Crothers, writing on nanotech: the circuits blog, Apple is poised to incorporate Intel's new Sandy Bridge line of processors in its future line of MacBooks. The processors include a graphics processor right on the chip, rather than elsewhere on the motherboard, essentially including a GPU for free.
