Every year at WWDC features fly under the radar because Apple doesn't have enough time to discuss them all. One interesting feature that was mentioned on a slide but not discussed further was game controllers, which will be supported on iOS 7 and OS X 10.9. As expected, Apple unveiled its new Macbook Air at today's WWDC press conference. The new Air brings with it some substantial battery and graphic improvements, as it comes packed with Intel's new 4th gen Haswell processor. Most of the enhancements to the Air seem to come from its new Haswell processor, which Intel officially unveiled for the first time last week. I've been meaning to throw my Wii Fit board in the garbage or donate it to my nephews for a while now. Turns out, there may be an actual use for it that I didn't realize. While we all assumed we would be seeing a new version of Apple's operating systems at WWDC, we didn't expect to see Apple actually confirm it. Apple announced today in a press release that new versions of both iOS and OS X will be unveiled at the company's Worldwide Developers Conference on June 10 in San Francisco. The first beta of OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.4 has recently been released by Apple to third-party developers. The seed's release notes didn't say anything significant, but new things will probably be uncovered as developers start playing around with it. Apple also warned developers: "Please be aware that you will not be able to revert back to your previous system after updating. People have been saying for years that OS X and iOS are on an inevitable crash course. With Lion, Apple began bringing over some of the more popular iOS features to OS X. According to Sophos, a popular anti-virus company, hackers have been looking beyond Windows in terms of viruses and other threats during the year of 2012. On Tuesday, the company released its 2013 Security Threat Report. While most of the 40-page document was pretty dull, there was one major find: 2012 was the year of Android and OS X malware. Apple just pulled the trigger on a supplemental software update for OS X Mountain Lion. The operating adds a couple of small patches to the already released to the 10.8.2 already released. This supplemental update is comprised of minor tweaks and fixes for Mountain Lion, including Japanese Character Bugs, Safari bugs, and a RAM bug that would prevent systems with more than 64 GB of RAM from booting.
