The original iPhone, which first launched in 2007, will soon reach "obsolete" status at Apple retail stores, which means that it will no longer be eligible for repairs or parts replacements even if the customers pays for it. Mailbox, the slick and simple e-mail client for iOS, has been massively successful both critically and on the app store's charts since it was first released just three months ago. The now Dropbox-owned company announced that it will be expanding its popular app to the iPad as well, and that development on the tablet version is already underway. Twitter's official Mac app received its first update in nearly two years today, bringing with it retina support as well as photo-sharing enhancements. Prior to this, Twitter for Mac, which is available on the Mac App Store, last received an update in June 2011. Because of this, many assumed that Twitter had stopped working on it completely. EA's recent and controversial release SimCity, with its horrendous launch and less than stellar reviews, now has a date for its Mac release. SimCity will be released for Mac June 11, with anyone that already owns the Windows version receiving access to the Mac version as well.
