Google is taking steps to finally close down Buzz, its first attempt at a social network (Wave doesn't count). According to the company, Google will be moving all Buzz posts to users' Google Drive accounts. The move won't count against Drive storage quotas, and the data consists of public and private posts made by users. I'm not sure if Google's trying to create a consumer product, or some kind of collective monitoring tool at this point. A new report out of Bloomberg states that Google may be looking to buy the popular social navigation app Waze. Sales talks surrounding Waze have been around for several months, with previous rumors stating that Facebook was in negotiations to buy the company. Google has been logging data about popular search trends for quite a while with its Hot Searches page, but now you can see all the hot trends in a sleek full-screen visualization. The full-screen hot trend visualizer shows the same data, but in a full-screen grid that keeps updating. According to Google, Voice Search for Google Chrome will be making its way to iOS within "the coming days" in the form of a software update. Google has also announced that this new build of Chrome for iOS will bring better use of the cache, allow for third-party apps to launch URLs in Google Chrome, as well as bring improved page loading times. Google recently, and quietly, launched its new conversational search feature in the latest version of its Chrome browser for Windows, Mac, and Linux. Chrome users will now see a small microphone symbol in the right-hand side of the search field on the Google homepage and at the top of any page that has search results. When Google first announced Google Play Music All Access it was to the disappointment of many iOS users as it was an Android-only club. François Beaufort, a member of the Google Chrome team, posted a new image to his Google+ page revealing that Google is working on bringing the Chrome App Launcher to the Mac. Chrome users can even try out a beta version of it now by installing Chromium and then running a quick command in terminal.
