Real Racing 3, one of the most popular racing games for iOS, was released back in February and today it has finally gotten its first major update. EA's recent and controversial release SimCity, with its horrendous launch and less than stellar reviews, now has a date for its Mac release. SimCity will be released for Mac June 11, with anyone that already owns the Windows version receiving access to the Mac version as well. EA announced that the game will in fact support cross-platform play, so Mac and PC users will be able to put their differences aside and build together in perfect harmony. While Sony announced this past February the name and main features of the company's upcoming console, the Playstation 4, Microsoft has yet to announce anything on when it will be showing off its next console, codenamed Durango. Tom Warren of the Verge is now reporting, however, that Microsoft will in fact be holding an event to unveil the console late next month. Yesterday we told you about how rumors were beginning to solidify that Microsoft's next Xbox would require a constant Internet connection. Today, Microsoft executive Adam Orth, who works as the creative director at the company's gaming division Microsoft Studios, called out all those complaining about the possibility of an always online console. While much is already known about Sony's upcoming PS4, Microsoft has yet to even announce its successor to the Xbox 360. While all the information coming out about Microsoft's upcoming console has just been speculation, the previously reported rumor that the console will require an Internet connection at all times seems to be getting more concrete.
