Who needs motion? For most of us, motion is a little overkill. Sure it creates pretty little animations for your videos, but so does keynote. Yup, you heard me right. Keynote lets you create an animation and export it as a .mov file, so you can use it in your home videos, podcasts, screencasts, and every other ‘cast under the sun. The video below illustrates just how simple the process is, so let your imagination run wild, and create some kick ass animations!
If you rode the short bus as a kid, chances are you’re probably not gonna get what I’m saying here, so you might just want to give up before you begin.

So, to put things into perspective I received an email today from an old friend, who needed a video rotated that she managed to take at a cottage with some friends. Somehow, I just realized how pathetic of a life I’m living. Somehow while she’s off lounging at cottages having a good time, I’m here working on my computer nonstop. Man. Tis the life of a geek I guess. What’s a good geek do? Turn it into a self-fullfilling post at her expense of course!

I’ve been working on an FTP application post and stumbled across something in Flow that I found to be pretty handy. Their slang for it is “Drop Marks” which is essentially a drop box that lets you drop files into the shortcut on your desktop, then automatically connects to the server and uploads the file. Pretty nifty if you live in FTP land all day. It should be noted that most of the FTP applications on the Mac these days come with some type of similar functionality, so I don’t want to hear bitching about it… unless it’s witty. Ah, screw it. Flame Away!

Anyway, here’s the quick vid tip. Keep your eyes peeled for a post on Flow.
<itunes:summary>I've been working on an FTP application post and stumbled across something in Flow that I found to be pretty handy. Their slang for it is "Drop Marks" which is essentially a drop box that lets you drop files into the shortcut on your desktop, then automatically connects to the server and uploads the file. Pretty nifty if you live in FTP land all day. It should be noted that most of the FTP applications on the Mac these days come with some type of similar functionality, so I don't want to hear bitching about it... unless it's witty. Ah, screw it. Flame Away!

Anyway, here's the quick vid tip. Keep your eyes peeled for a post on Flow.</itunes:summary>

Some of you might not be aware that we do a podcast, and a screencasts at a weekly rate. We currently have them in the same feed, since we want to deliver as much content as possible to our lucky subscribers. Our podcast usually includes application and news segments, as well as an occasional interview with developers (which we hope to do more of). Our screencasts are usually centered around tips that most of you might not be aware of. These could include applications that are flying under the radar, or functionality with in an application that isn’t talked about to often.

We have quite the lineup of screencasts coming up, so I hope you will all subscribe to the feed. We’d love to help you out! If you have any questions about an application or function in an application let us know!

Oh, and incase you missed it… there is a giant subscribe to podcast graphic at the top of the page… click it, and it’ll take you to itunes!
