Justin West (jwest91) has been macgasming all over Instagram the past few weeks. He has amassed quite a nice collection of Apple gear. While I originally wanted to show you the shot of all his Apple packaging that he’s saved, I went back to the shot above. The iPod classic doesn’t get much love these days. It’s reminiscent of the original scroll wheel iPod that started it all in 2001. “A thousand songs in your pocket” was the tagline of the original 5GB iPod. The current iPod classic holds a massive 160GBs worth of music now (32,000 songs in your pocket?). While the iPod classic has fallen out of favor over the shiny touch interface of the iPod touch, it is still a favorite of serious music lovers. Justin, thanks so much for tagging your Instagram photos with #macgasm!
P.S. I’m not really tied to the name Macgasmagram Friday so any suggestions would be welcome.

I’m not sure I would be so bold as to say that Flickr is dead, but I know that most of the images I view are from Instagram. Since it’s so easy to tag and search for tags in Instagram, we thought we might start mining our sexy Apple photos from there. The rules are simple. If you want to qualify to have your image on Macgasm.net, all you need to do is tag your Instagram images with #macgasm. So back to this little beauty above. This is from Instagram user DaveBuchholz. He’s rocking three 20-inch Apple Cinema displays with his Mac Pro. I guess that’s not enough screen for him as he’s got his iPad in a Zagg Folio case. Dave, thanks for sharing your addiction with us!
PS- if you can think of a better name than Macgasmgram Friday, let us know in the comments.

Ah, the new style Mag Safe Adapter. Invented due to you animals yanking the old style ones out and fraying the cords. While these ones are much sturdier, I dislike the fact that they need to be put on a “right way” in order to not impair the use of your ports. Thank you Colin Harris for making something as standard as charging look so damn sexy.

When the first MacBook Air was released back in 2008, it was sexy. Unfortunately, its biggest hard drive was a 80GB 4200 RPM PATA drive, it only had one USB port, no optical drive, it was a slower processor, and it cost more than a much better equipped MacBook Pro. I had a weird déjà vu of the ill-fated G4 Cube. Luckily Apple didn’t give up on this sexy little — do I dare say? — beast. Luckily, with the July 2011 upgrade, Apple ditched the Core 2 Duo and introduced the i5 and i7 into both the 11-inch and 13-inch models of the MacBook Air. If you’re going to go with an Air, go big as you can’t upgrade them after (well, not easily). Thank you Nicky Colman for posting this to our Macgasm Flickr group!

Matthew Pearce (aka Matt’s Macintosh) is one of my favorite Apple geeks. Not only does he take beautiful shots like this, but he also makes amazing videos. I like to think that Matt’s residence is filled with these types of little retro setups.
Thanks for sharing with the Macgasm Flickr group Matt!

I can easily say I’ve never heard of anyone using an iBook to prop up a couch. With all the accidentally cracked and dropped Apple laptops I see on a weekly basis, this is nothing I would ever do. However, I do thank you Mr. Keith Seekwhence for sharing your oh so cleverly titled pic with us.

Here’s the bottom feet of two Power Mac G5s. Apple has had essentially the same look and feel on their tower since 2003. If you ask me these machines are still incredibly beautiful. I, however, wouldn’t mind seeing the smaller, less heavy form factor of the Mac Pro (fingers crossed). Thank you Grant Hutchinson for uploading this amazing shot to our Macgasm Flickr Group!

Look at her in her little car already adorned with an Apple sticker! To top things off she’s got daddy’s old iPhone 3G that she loves to pretend to talk on. Say it with me, “Ahhhhhhhhh.” Charles Edwards, thanks so much for uploading your adorable pic to our Macgasm Flickr Group. Now excuse me while I go bug the husband about having more kids.
