Tired of carrying the same style of laptop bag as everyone else? You may want to sneak a peek at the Silva LTD Bamboo MacBook case. While it does have some some shortcomings, like no room for your hipster Field Notes – which we love by the way – the Bamboo case does fit your MacBook nice and snuggly.
The case is 100 percent solid Bamboo, and also has a hand-crafted leather strap, wool felt lined interior, and a sexy hand rugged, glass-like finish.
If you like your sleeves manly, rugged, and smelling of hide, you’re going to want to check out the Nixon Edition iPad case. The sleeve, complete with compass, knife and sail boat wheel laser etched on the inside, is as manly a case as we’ve ever seen. That’s right, we did mention lasers. The Edition is a full-grain leather iPad case that comes complete with two ID/card pockets and a passport pocket.
iWatches are all the rage with iPod nano users these days, and while the nano itself could use some extra features like Bluetooth support, rocking a nano from the wrist isn’t going away any time soon.
It may be time to consider your alternatives. You can get your hands on an iWatch band just like everyone else, or you can pick up a Nanolet, which is just a fancy way to say iPod nano-bracelet.
Another source is claiming that the iPad 3 will actually look more like an iPad 2S than a complete redesign. Macotakara has some independent sources who seem to be re-affirming iLounge’s news from yesterday, albeit a day after their story hit the Internet.
While that news may be important, we’ve already heard it. However, Macotakara has added some new information to the equation today: Foxconn Technology and Pegatron Technology are ramping up work on the iPad 3 (or 2S), in an attempt to meet a March release date.
It’s not every day that a yet-to-be-released product has its parts surface at a major consumer electronics expo. But this year, just like last, iLounge managed to sneak a peak a the “next-generation” iPad, possibly. We say possibly because there’s a good chance that they actually got a sneak peak at a prototype, a fake, or a mockup of the next iPad.
Just in case you forget, we’ve put together a deal on a great iOS foundation course. That course, and more specifically, our deal, is about to expire. At just $79.00 (regularly $198.00), this iOS course will teach you the building blocks for C Programming and Objective-C.
If you’re looking to get into app development on iOS devices, this is a must-have. It’s a steal really.
If you could have a do-over in the last election, who would you vote for? More importantly, if it was an option, would you have selected Steve Jobs over Barack Obama? Artist Weston James is asking this question with a clever art installation titled, “Obama and Steve.”
While viewing “Obama and Steve,” viewers can actually vote on which man has done a better job. James insisted that, “if we removed the restraints and allowed people to elect who ever they felt could get the job done, disregarding the proper qualification and campaigning of today’s politics, would they still choose the current president, or an icon who has changed the dynamics of how the world communicates and interacts?”
The beauty of the installation is that it didn’t show results, only revealing them on January 1,2012. The winner? It was a landslide. Steve Jobs got 2011 votes to Obama’s 350. We’ll let you draw your own conclusions.
When it comes to iPad keyboards, the slimmer the better. Actually, even better than an actual external iPad keyboard is having one built right into the case. There’s nothing worse than having to pull your iPad in and out of a case while you try to use a keyboard. The Skinny, a product from Hatch & Co., does just that — it puts a keyboard directly into a typical, slim iPad case.
This is exactly the type of keyboard that would make sense on the iPad. The Skinny costs $89.99, and comes in a couple of different colour options (grey or a burnt orange).
