CES 2015: ZAGG’s New iOS Accessory Line Has Something For Everyone

ZAGG announced new Bluetooth keyboard cases for iPhone and iPad and a new speaker case for iPhone 6 at CES 2015.

Aimed at the “phablet” market, ZAGG’s new Pocket Keyboard has a two-year battery life and a physical keyboard that is 85 percent the size of a standard desktop keyboard.The Pocket Keyboard connects to any Bluetooth-enabeled smartphone has a built-in stand that can accommodate any device with a 7-inch or smaller screen. The Pocket Keyboard will retail for $70.

On the iPad side of things, ZAGG introduced two new cases: the Rugged Folio and the Slim Book. The Rugged Folio has a multi-layered construction that keeps your iPad safe from drops and a backlit keyboard that keeps you productive in the dark. The case and keyboard magnetically connect to each other, so you can remove the keyboard and use the Rugged Folio in “Case Mode.” You can purchase the Rugged Folio now for $150 for the iPad Air and $140 for the iPad mini.

If you’re looking for a slimmer alternative, the Slim Book takes all of the functionality of the Rugged Folio and removes a few layers, giving you a sleek case and keyboard. Like its rugged counterpart, the Slim Book has a backlit keyboard with a two-year battery life. The Slim Book retails for $130 and $120 for the iPad Air and iPad mini, respectively.

ZAGG also introduced its new Speaker Case for iPhone 6 at the show. This case has a removable Bluetooth speaker on its back that can be used to play music and take conference calls. The speaker portion of the case has a built-in 18000mAh battery that doubles as a power source for any USB device. The Speaker Case turns into a bumper-like case when the speaker is removed, and will likely protect your iPhone from damage due to minor drops. The Speaker Case is available for $100.
