Dropbox Announces That Mailbox Is Coming To OS X

If you use Mailbox on your iOS device, you know that the application has its benefits when it comes to clearing out your inbox clutter. The Dropbox, and Mailbox team will finally be bringing those benefits to OS X. Alongside the Carousel announcement today, Dropbox has announced that Mailbox for OS X is a real thing, and it will be shipping soon… ish.

Alongside the OS X news, Dropbox has also announced a new feature in Mailbox called auto-swipe. Its goal is to get you closer to inbox zero faster:

Today, we’re proud to announce a new service built directly into Mailbox that learns from your swipes and snoozes to automate common actions. Mute that thread you don’t care about, snooze messages from your friends until after work, and route receipts to a list — automatically. We call this service Auto-swipe.

Even better, these patterns will sync across all of your devices (iOS, OS X, and Android). The new feature ensures that you will have a consistent experience across your devices without having to manage these settings every time you set up a new device.

Inbox zero, here we come.
