Flexibits Getting Ready To Release Brand New Fantastical 2 App For iOS 7

Somehow, amidst our recent site update work, we managed to miss the news that Flexibits is getting ready to release a brand new version of Fantastical for iOS 7. The Fantastical team has announced, albeit a couple of weeks ago, that it will be releasing Fantastical 2 for iPhone some time this month.

From the Fantastical blog:

Fantastical 2 for iPhone will have many of your most-requested features including reminders, an even better parsing engine, event and reminder notifications, landscape mode, TextExpander support, and much more. Fantastical 2 for iPhone will be a brand new app available as a separate purchase, and only for iOS 7. We’d also like to make it clear that this is not a simple update, as we’ve spent a lot of time to ensure that we’re bringing more than just a modernized interface to Fantastical 2.

I’ve recently switched back to Fantastical from Apple’s Calendar application. I’m big on using default applications, but the iOS 7 Calendar app was one I couldn’t stomach. It wasn’t for me. It’s exciting that Fantastical will be getting a new app and update in the short term. That makes my Saturday morning. Also, good for Flexibits for setting it up as a new app purchase and update. I wish more developers would do it, especially if they’re charging under $10.00 for their apps.
