Atlanta Women Claims To Be The Voice Behind The American Version Of Siri

It must be hard knowing millions of people know your voice, but no one knows what the face looks like that goes with it. CNN has an article up online about the voice actor that’s the voice behind Apple’s Siri voice recognition service.

Susan Bennet, a lass from Atlanta, is apparently the voice of Siri:

Apple won’t confirm it. But Bennett says she is Siri. Professionals who know her voice, have worked with her and represent her legally say she is Siri. And an audio-forensics expert with 30 years of experience has studied both voices and says he is “100%” certain the two are the same.

The article is an interesting read, and there’s a video that goes with it for audio evidence. It’s worth reading. Susan looks nothing like what I thought Siri would have looked, which is probably why Apple refuses to confirm the voice. Once you see the face, the illusion of who Siri may be, both human or sentient robot, comes crashing down.
